Digital Journeyman's Examination in the Opticianry Trade: IQUL Supports First Implementation in North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria
In March, two federal states—Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia—conducted the theoretical journeyman’s examination for the optician trade digitally for the first time using IQUL. We are delighted with this successful debut and the positive feedback. A detailed article, written by David Friederichs, is currently available from DOZ-Verlag Optische Fachveröffentlichung GmbH.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, 329 examinees took Part 1 of the theoretical journeyman’s examination at the central location of the Hagen City Hall. On-site, the format was rated as modern and efficient. At the same time, it places greater emphasis on the candidates’ technical competence, for example through multiple-choice questions where content—rather than spelling or phrasing—is decisive.
