ATP Innovations in Testing 2025 in Orlando
In March, Orlando had more to offer than just sunshine and theme parks: This year’s ATP Innovations in Testing 2025 took place here under the theme Better Together: Testing the Limits. Four of us from IQUL—from Sales, Marketing, and Product Development—were there.
The conference focused on current developments regarding the use of artificial intelligence in testing processes, issues of fairness and inclusion, as well as international best practices in data protection, accommodations, and adaptive testing.
The international comparison has once again shown that education systems worldwide differ not only in their structure but also in their openness to technological innovation. While some countries are already actively using AI-supported methods in test development, Germany’s federal education system continues to pose a challenge—especially when it comes to implementing uniform, fair, and future-oriented examination formats.
Our takeaways:
We are taking away many insights—such as the need for greater personalization of exams, the role of adaptive technologies in compensating for disadvantages, and the data-driven refinement of assessments. As a company that plans and administers exams under precisely these complex conditions, we not only observe international trends with interest but actively integrate them into our ongoing development.
We would like to thank the Association of Test Publishers for an excellently organized conference and the valuable international exchange—and we look forward to further insights from the global testing community.
